Welcome to the Teacher Interview and Select process for the 2022-2023 school year!

You will not be able to login to the I&S system site until April 14 at midnight. Please note that any login attempts before April 14 will prompt a “You are not eligible for I&S” notification

For the 2022-2023 school year, all sites and programs are Interview and Select.

Positions will be posted until midnight of the final day of posting as follows:

  • First Posting:          Wednesday, April 14, 2021 through Wednesday, April 21, 2021

Please Note: You must have a license in the posted area which is valid for the 2022-2023 school year. Those with expired licenses are not eligible to participate in the Interview and Select.

General Parameters for Interview & Select (I&S) Session:
  • I&S to fill positions internally for the 2020-2021 school year has moved from two rounds to a one round process.
  • Interviews for I&S will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
  • Only teachers who have a contract for the 2022-2023 school year will be eligible to interview and accept a position
  • Licensed staff will only have one opportunity through the one round of I&S to make one move during this process. Accepting multiple positions to fulfill your FTE will count as one move.
  • Schools will receive all candidates on the positions after the posting round closes.
  • The system will indicate the four most senior candidates for the position, and up to an additional four applicants, for a total of eight available interviews for a position.
  • Interviews will be scheduled by each schools’ hiring teams via Microsoft Teams. Licensed staff selected for an interview will be notified by the hiring teams via email and will be able to view their schedule through Outlook MPS email or Microsoft Teams calendars.
  • Because of time constraints teachers are responsible for monitoring their MPS email on a daily basis to check for any system generated emails notifying them of one or more of these occurrences:
    • they were selected for an interview; site will contact to schedule interview time via Microsoft Teams
    • they were not selected for an interview
    • they are in the top 4 for the position after the interview
    • they are not in the top 4 for the position after the interview
    • they are being offered a position
    • the position has been filled
  • Teachers that receive one or more of the above must read the email to see if they need to Log In to the Interview and Select system.
Matching Session:
  • The Matching Session is only for excessed teachers who have not secured a position for the next school year.
  • Excessed teachers will meet with principals to try to make a match through mutual consent.
